It is TIME....Time to be the queen of my own destiny....And I am ready...Ready to celebrate and cherish the special moments...to go after what I want without any guarantees...to leave behind the things that are wrong for me...ready to forgive..ready to face life's unexpected twists...to persue happy endings that may never come...and to let go when it's too painful to hold on...It is time to turn the page....

WHY!!!???

I decided at 40 years of age to go back to school because I love art and wanted to get a degree in the field of art.I had no way of paying for this endeaver until a co-worker told me about WIN Job and how they were paying for associate degrees for people who were in Hurricane Katrina (I was) so I applied and was accepted! Good news until my caseworker told me that the only thing on their list that had art in the title was Graphic Design .I said ,"sign me up"! Little did I know that the "graphic " was code for computer at which I was not very familiar with. I struggled the 2 years in Mr. Jones' class and came out with a B average but I am no more a graphic designer than when I started, just a little bit more savvy on the computer.I still do art, but mostly for friends and co-workers who genuinely like my work and regularly ask for more.So in a way I am an artist and that is enough for now.

Mule is my Aunt's dog and I found this pic of her and thought it was cute.This is the last picture taken of Mule .She disapeared a couple of weeks later.We think she wanderd off to die ....Missed by her family:(

Movies!

I like to watch movies...no...I LOVE to watch great movies,so much so that I have joined the Blockbuster program online .The one where you pay 15 bucks a month to rent any 3 movies you want at a time. Seems like a good idea...until you order 5 or 6 movies in a row so bad that you can't sit through them. Blockbuster writes up reviews that make even the bad ones seem exciting or thought provoking or brilliant (you get the idea)....so do yourself a favor and look up the movies you want to rent on other websites and get lots of other opinions otherwise you will potentially waste 2 or 3 hours of your life that you will never get back!

School and temperance

I do not get aggravated easily,but a certain class I am taking is testing my religion!It is a very hands on class!I barely have time for my family anymore because of school and work but I only have until December to graduate and and I hope all this knowledge will do me some good in the real world.School has definitely tested me on my self worth and my intelligence (I thought I was smart....until I went to college) but in the end it will all be worth it!

This school thing is harder than it looks!Why am i doing this to myself you may wonder.Well kids, stay in school and do yourself a favor , whatever you are studying make sure you want to do it for at least 20 years because when you get in your 40's it is a lot harder to change your life than when you are in your 20's...believe me! You do not want to wake up every morning hating your job!Pick something you would do for free and study that and make a living at it.Your happiness is at stake and that is something you do not want to slip by.......
